Caracalla thermal baths, Catacombs, Appian way

What you can expect: learn about the Roman thermal baths, the public and cheap SPA used by all the Roman society, discover the biggest Christian catacombs and finally take a lovely stroll along an original road realized 4 centuries BC.

Itinerary: entering the remains of Caracalla thermal baths you will learn the story about this eccentric emperor, and you will marvel in front of the grandiosity of his massive project, the thermal baths, symbol of his dynasty. The second place we’ll visit will be the S. Callisto catacombs, 20 km of galleries underground developed in 4 levels… about 500.000 Christians were buried here!! Finally, far from the chaotic city we’ll take a walk along the Appian way and see remains of an imperial villa, a mausoleum, the original basalt stones of the road built by Appio Claudio 312 BC.

– S.Callisto catacombs: 8 euros per adult, free up to 6 years, 5 euros 7-15 years.
